Yasmin Serrano – Student / Singer
My name is Yasmin, and I am also known as Yasi, or soon enough hopefully, YA-Z! I was born in Yokosuka Naval Base in December 24, 2005 because my dad was stationed there in the Navy. At three (3) years old, I began to sing. In the years that came, I honed my ability to what it is now, and I am glad to say I sing for multiple events in the community. It’s been a joy to have sang all my life, and even moreso now that I am able to sing for so many different events.
About Yasmin Serrano
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a family of four (4) consisting of my mom, my dad, and my younger brother. Both my mom and my dad work at North Island Naval Base as civilian workers and my dad is a veteran.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
Currently, I do not have a solid career. However, I do consider my singing as my intro to it. What I love most is that I can touch the hearts of so many people out there and that I can make my family and friends proud.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
No matter what your dreams are, whether small or large, strive to achieve them. You could end up inspiring those around you and give them the boost they need.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully, on the stage of my very own concert. But if not that, then possibly in a studio, composing and/or recording my own music.
