Currently touring behind a new album, Tomorrow’s Daughter, Matthew Sweet returns to the Belly Up Tavern on October 22. One of the best songwriters of the past three decades, Sweet continues to turn out one gem after another, each album a necessary addition to any pop rock fans collection. Expect a few new tracks in the set list, but the bulk will consist of classics from his thirteen classic albums preceding Tomorrow’s Daughter, such as “Sick of Myself,” “Divine Intervention” and “Winona.” Longtime fans will be happy to note Sweet’s band still features long time players Paul Chastain (bass) and Ric Menck (drums) of Velvet Crush alongside John Moremen (lead guitar).
