North Park has seen the arrival of The Gluten Free Baking Co., which supplies wheat-free pas- tries and custom cakes to restaurants and coffee shops throughout San Diego.
Since opening its first-ever retail shop on Feb. 8, customers can mosey in to purchase items such as muffins, cookies, donuts, dry mixes, and more. The selection also includes vegan treats.
Owner Roanna Canete studied cooking, baking and chocolate-making in Italy, and has learned the culinary challenges associated with food allergies after her son toddler son was diagnosed with them.
