Executive chef Scott Cannon of The Cork and Craft in Rancho Bernardo has launched a series of dinners focusing on the wines and cuisine of select countries. First up is New Zealand, for which Cannon will pres- ent four courses of regional dishes from the island country, and pair them to some of its wines.
The dinner will be held at 6 p.m., March 1, in the restaurant’s private dining room named “the library.” Dishes include barramundi crudo with kiwi and lamb meat pie. The cost is $75 per person. Countries on tap for upcoming wine dinners are Mexico on May 3; Germany on Sept. 13; and Japan on Nov. 15.
