Steve Breen – Artist / Cartoonist
I’m an artist with inewsource.org, a nonprofit investigative newsroom in San Diego. I’ve been working in the world of journalism/media for over 25 years and I enjoy jogging, playing the guitar, and reading historical non-fiction.
About Steve Breen
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My amazing wife, Cathy, and I have seven wonderful children. Never a dull moment!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve been a cartoonist, writer, and illustrator for most of my career and it’s all about creative problem-solving. When I solve it (by figuring out my idea or the path I want to take to tell a story) there’s a rush of adrenaline.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Always remember how short this God-given life is. If you keep that at the front of your mind, it will help with everything from your faith to your work to your relationships.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Working in the ideation and storytelling sphere.
