With dreams of becoming an artist, a teen (Ryan Ochoa) makes his grandfather, Samuel (Hal Linden), the subject of an animated art project for school. He then discovers that his Jewish grandpa, a dry cleaner in San Diego, was heroically saved as a boy from Nazi capture by a young woman in Germany.

The film was shot entirely in San Diego. Lead actor Ryan Ochoa is from San Diego and producer Steve Weinberger is a resident.
