SD Blood Bank and SD Padres Event to Help Community and Celebrate National Blood Donor Month
WHAT: San Diego Blood Bank and San Diego Padres are teaming up to save lives during National Blood Donor Month with their annual Padres Winter Blood Drive.
National Blood Donor Month honors blood donors and highlights the need for blood and platelet donations during winter—one of the most difficult times of the year to collect enough blood for hospital patients.
All blood donors who donate at this one-day blood drive will receive a limited-edition Padres Winter Blood Drive T-shirt (while supplies last) and free parking in the Lexus Premier parking lot, located at the corner of Park Blvd and Imperial Avenue.
WHEN: Tuesday, January 23, 2024, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
WHERE: Lexus Premier parking lot (corner of Park Blvd and Imperial Avenue), across from Petco Park.
NOTES: San Diego Padres have partnered with San Diego Blood Bank in support of community health by hosting seven consecutive years of summer blood drives. Since 2017, the San Diego Padres have helped collect more than 3,000 pints of blood that supported thousands of patients in Southern California hospitals.
San Diego Padres Senior Vice President, Community and Military Affairs Tom Seidler is scheduled to donate blood at 9:05 a.m.
Appointments will be honored first and can be made at SanDiegoBloodBank.org/Padres or by calling 619-400-8251. Walk-ins welcome.
