Mariachi Sol De México comes to Sycuan Casino Resort

Mariachi Sol de México is coming to Sycuan Casino Resort on Saturday. May 10 at the Heritage Event Center. Mariachi Sol de México is the first Grammy-nominated mariachi band and is led by world-renowned musician Jose Hernandez. Hernandez continues to innovate in the world of mariachi and has worked with esteemed artists like Vicente Fernandez and Selena. As part of the fifth generation of mariachi, José brings the pleasure of mariachi music to audiences around the world. He is not only the founder of Mariachi Sol de México, but also,  Reyna de los Ángeles, the first professional women’s mariachi ensemble in the Americas. José’s musical inspirations are rich and diverse, ranging from Leonard Bernstein to Agustín Lara, Glenn Miller to José Alfredo Jiménez. One of the things José is most proud of having accomplished is the establishment of the Sol de México symphony orchestra, bringing their powerful and vibrant sound to mariachi lovers around the world.

The band will perform a diverse range of songs from their 14 albums, with instruments like the trumpet, violin, guitarrón, and vihuela featured on the tracks. The band was founded in 1981 and captures Mexico’s authentic and dynamic musical heritage, embracing the romanticism of its land, people, and beauty of the heart. This performance will also feature a blend of traditional mariachi rhythms with upbeat contemporary influences.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the Box Office at Sycuan Casino Resort. Guests must be 21 or older to enter the casino and attend the concert.
