Singer Jackie Mendoza performs at The Soda Bar on July 14. Based in Chula Vista, Mendoza debuted in 2016 with a string of singles, leading up to her debut EP, LuvHz, released earlier this year. Singing in both English and Spanish, Mendoza performs dreamy pop, with beats, as heard on such tracks at “Seahorse” and “De Lejos.” Currently, on a string of dates that have her crisscrossing the country, including a Chicago gig the day after this Soda Bar stop, Mendoza has been building a following through performances and collaborations such as her song “La Luz” recorded with Coastal, which has amassed more than half a million hits on Youtube.
