By Jackie Flohr, For The RCC Board

More than forty of our neighbors have served as board members of the Rolando Community Council during the past fifteen years. If you live in Rolando, please consider this special opportunity to have a substantial impact in your neighborhood! All board positions are elected by the RCC membership. Elections occur at the June 18 RCC community meeting. Each year, one-half of the positions are filled for terms of two years.
This year the board positions up for election are 1st Vice President, Treasurer, and Director. The term of office is July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2021.
The first step in the process is the selection of the nominating committee. Members at the April 16 RCC community meeting will vote on the committee make-up. If you are interested in serving on the five-member nominating committee, please come to the April meeting and volunteer!
At the RCC meeting on May 21, the nominating committee will present its slate. The tentative deadline to submit your candidacy to the committee is May 10. Additional nominations from the floor are accepted at the May meeting.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in serving, please stay tuned for more information on how to submit a nomination form. Contact me if you have questions or would like to talk more about being on the RCC Board.– Jackie Flohr
