Easter Egg hunting in Rolando. A first. Bring the kids and some stuffed eggs. Join the fun at Clay Park Sunday, April 7, 2-4 p.m. Participating eggs must arrive by 2:30 p.m. and the hunt itself begins promptly at 3. A potluck picnic will add to the fun.
Cop and Coffee? Our community relations officer Terry Hoskins apparently likes coffee, and he’s aiming to do right by his neighborhoods. He’ll be waiting to connect with neighbors to hear their concerns between noon and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays at Scrimshaw Coffee (5542 El Cajon Blvd.) and on Thursdays at Duet Coffee (6526 El Cajon Blvd.) Just drop by. It’s a trial program, so let’s make the effort to connect. A strong community-police partnership is a good thing. Thanks, Terry for reaching out.
Did you guess the mystery picture?
On Page 13 We snapped the delivery of serving tanks to the long-awaited Black Market Brewery. Location El Cajon Blvd. and Art Street. The Rolando Night Out crew has been watching the progress of this new business closely. It’s on them “to visit” list once the doors open. If something curious catches your eye as you wander about, snap a picture and send it to Jan at (hintzman@cox.net). Let’s try and stump our neighbors.
Formal attire wanted. Crawford Prom Night is coming soon, and students, of course, want to shine. If you have formal or dressy wear to donate, contact the El Cerrito Community Council for a pick-up (elcerritocommunitycouncil@gmail.com). They are looking for items such as dresses, shawls, shoes, and jewelry for young women. The guys are hunting for the perfect slacks, jackets, shirts, and shoes.
