One of the most distinctive voices of the 20th century, Michael McDonald performs at the Belly Up Tavern on April 20.

As if his own Top 40 hits, such as “I Keep Forgettin’” (1982 / #4) and “Sweet Love” (1986 / #7) weren’t enough, his vocals seemed to be just about everywhere in the 1970’s and 1980’s, including such evergreens as Steely Dan’s “Peg,” The Doobie Brothers “What A Fool Believes,” Kenny Loggins “This Is It,” James Ingram’s “Yah Mo B There” and many more. McDonald hasn’t released an album since 2017’s, Wide Open, but with a catalog of tunes this strong, where ever he chooses to dip into his catalog of tunes for the nights set list is sure to run up gold.
