Anvil of Hope 5-Year Celebration

Anvil of Hope is a non-profit founded by Peter and Vikky Zien who also are the owners of AleSmith Brewing Company. A 5-year anniversary celebration was held Saturday April 26 at the brewery which was packed with well-wishers and beer aficionados. Anvil of Hope helps disadvantaged kids by funding afterschool programs including break dancing classes. Dancers from The Paradise Hills Elementary Break Dance Program were on hand to express themselves with the dance moves they have learned in the program.

The kids performed amid cheers of approval from the packed house, and several parents spoke on behalf of their kids and thanked Anvil of Hope for the good that they do for the students. The Paradise Hills Elementary Principal Steve Elizondo was also on hand and thanked Anvil of Hope for a program that he said would otherwise be unavailable to the students. He noted that even outside of the dancing program, the students excelled at all other subjects and have a lot more enthusiasm towards school.

Also performing were the dance group Finest City Dance, and DJ Niko who laid down the beats for the young break dancers. Guests enjoyed both Mexican and Italian food from to food trucks which are a familiar staple at any AleSmith event.
