Friendship Circle San Diego is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Annual Friendship Walk, scheduled for April 7, 2024 at 1p.m. Located at Nobel Athletic Fields And Recreation Center (8810 Judicial Dr, San Diego, CA 92122). This annual event celebrates the spirit of inclusivity and fosters connections within our community, benefiting individuals with special needs and their families.
The Friendship Walk serves as a rallying point for individuals from all walks of life to come together to support a common cause: promoting friendship, inclusion, and acceptance. By participating in the walk, attendees demonstrate their commitment to building a more compassionate and understanding society where everyone feels valued and supported.
“We are excited to once again bring our community together for the Annual Friendship Walk,” said Muka, Program Director at Friendship Circle San Diego. “This event is not just about walking; it’s about celebrating the diversity of our community and advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals with special needs. Every step taken during the walk symbolizes our collective commitment to creating a more inclusive world.”
The Annual Friendship Walk offers participants a day filled with fun, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others who share their passion for inclusion. Highlights of the event include our fair equipped with carnival games, inflatables, a bungee trampoline, a petting zoo, food, video games, and more.
In addition to being a meaningful community event, the Friendship Walk also serves as a vital fundraiser for Friendship Circle San Diego’s programs and services that directly benefit individuals with special needs and their families. Funds raised through the walk enable Friendship Circle San Diego to create and participate in activities or events that foster connection between those with special needs of all ages and stages with their typically developing peers.
Registration for the Annual Friendship Walk is open, and participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. Whether walking as an individual, joining a team, or showing support as a sponsor or volunteer, there are numerous ways to get involved and make a difference.
